We honour a safe, supportive environment where participants can engage in shared reflection and group discussion with trust and respect. To uphold this, we ask each participant and facilitator to commit to the principles below:
Participants agree not to share identifying details or personal information from group discussions outside of the retreat. This includes names, personal stories, and any sensitive disclosures that may arise during facilitated sessions. This shared agreement supports an environment where women can feel confident in expressing themselves without concern that their information will be shared beyond the group space.
Confidentiality in a group context is a shared commitment — it relies on mutual respect among all participants. While organizers and facilitators also uphold professional standards of respect and privacy, they cannot control actions outside the retreat space. Participants agree to respect privacy both during and after the retreat.
The facilitator, when identified as a regulated Occupational Therapist in Ontario, adheres to ethical standards including privacy and confidentiality as outlined by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario’s Code of Ethics and privacy guidelines. This includes safeguarding any personal information* (though not collecting clinical data for therapeutic intervention in this context), handling it responsibly, and maintaining trust.
*Please note: personal reflections collected for retreat organization (e.g., readiness questionnaire) are managed with confidentiality and stored securely; they are not used for clinical assessment or shared outside intended administrative purposes.
Participation in group reflections is always voluntary. You are invited to share at your comfort level, and you have the right to observe quietly, engage selectively, or step back from participation at any time.
