Terms & Conditions

Effective june 2026

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Clarity Under Pressure (CUP) is a five-session, clinician-facilitated small-group program designed exclusively for women in policing. It is delivered by Celia Mirco, Occupational Therapist and Psychotherapist (OT Reg. (Ont.)), operating through Wellness Within, Barrie, Ontario.

The program is not a crisis intervention service, a general mental health program, or a service delivered on behalf of any police service. It is a structured professional development and wellness program for women who are already operational.

The current cohort is open exclusively to women employed by the Barrie Police Service. Eligibility for future cohorts will be confirmed at the time of registration.

WHO THESE TERMS APPLY TO

These Terms & Conditions apply to every individual who registers for, or participates in, any Clarity Under Pressure cohort. By registering, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

Participation is voluntary. These terms exist to protect the clinical integrity of the program, the confidentiality of other participants, and your own safe experience.

ELIGIBILITY AND SCREENING

Registration is open to women in policing / policing services who meet the eligibility criteria for the specific cohort. For the current cohort, this means women employed by the Barrie Police Service at the time of registration.

All registrants are required to complete a clinical intake form prior to acceptance into the program. The intake process is used to:

— assess whether the program is clinically appropriate for you at this time

— establish a baseline using validated measures (Police Stress Questionnaire and Oldenburg Burnout Inventory)

— identify any contraindications or circumstances that would require individual clinical support rather than group participation

Completion of the intake form does not guarantee placement. Celia Mirco reserves the right to redirect a registrant when the program is not clinically appropriate, or when a cohort is at capacity.

PROGRAM FORMAT AND ATTENDANCE

Format

The program consists of five, two-hour sessions delivered across five consecutive weeks. Sessions are held on Tuesday evenings, 5:00–7:00 pm, at Vetta Nordic Spa, 3210 Line 3 N, Oro-Medonte, Ontario.

Groups are small by design (six to seven participants). This is not a large-format workshop. The group size is a clinical decision that protects the depth and safety of the work.

Attendance

Attendance at all five sessions, and for the full duration of each session is expected and important. Each session builds on the previous one and the group container depends on consistent membership. If you anticipate a scheduling conflict, please raise this before registering.

— If you are unable to attend a session, notify Celia in advance where possible.

— Missing two or more sessions may affect your ability to benefit from the program and may be grounds for withdrawal, at Celia’s discretion.

Dress

Sessions are held off-site and are not affiliated with any police service. All participants attend in civilian dress. Attendance in uniform is not permitted.

Venue Amenities

Vetta Nordic Spa operates independently of Wellness Within. Participants who choose to use the spa’s thermal facilities or other amenities before or after sessions do so at their own risk and are subject to Vetta’s own terms, conditions, and fee structure. Wellness Within has no responsibility for any incident occurring in venue common areas or amenities.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY

Group Confidentiality

This is a professional setting with a small, defined group. Confidentiality is a foundational condition of participation, not a courtesy request. What is shared in the room stays in the room.

As a participant, you agree:

— not to disclose any identifying information about other participants or their disclosures, inside or outside the workplace

— not to share session content in any way that could identify another participant

— to treat what you hear from other participants with the same discretion you would expect to be extended to you.

This obligation continues after the program ends. It has no expiry.

Personal Health Information

Personal health information collected through the intake process and during the program is governed by the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), Ontario. Your information is held by Celia Mirco / Wellness Within and is not disclosed to the Barrie Police Service or any other party in identifiable form.

Aggregate, de-identified outcome data may be used in a program effectiveness report shared with the Barrie Police Service. No individual is identifiable in that report.

For Celia’s full privacy practices, contact info@mywellnesswithin.ca.

Limits on Confidentiality

Confidentiality has legal limits. Celia is required by law and professional obligation to act if there is a reasonable belief that:

— you or another person is at imminent risk of serious harm

— a regulated health professional has sexually abused a patient

— a child is in need of protection.

These limits apply regardless of your wishes in the moment. Celia will always speak with you before taking action wherever it is safe and practicable to do so.

CLINICAL SCOPE OF THE PROGRAM

Clarity Under Pressure is a structured psychotherapy group program. It is not individual therapy and does not establish an individual therapeutic relationship between participants and the facilitator.

The program is appropriate for women who are currently operational and not in acute distress. It is not a crisis intervention service. If you are experiencing significant mental health symptoms, active trauma responses, or a mental health crisis, this program is not the right starting point. Please contact your Employee Assistance Program, a mental health crisis line, or a clinician who can work with you individually.

If concerns arise during the program, Celia will address them clinically and may recommend that individual support be accessed alongside or instead of group participation.

FEES, BENEFITS AND PAYMENT

Fees

Program fees are confirmed in your registration documentation. Fees are assessed per participant, per cohort.

Extended Health Benefits

Services delivered by a registered Occupational Therapist with authority to perform psychotherapy are eligible for reimbursement through extended health benefit plans.  Direct billing to GreenShield Canada will be completed by Celia for the participants registered.

Celia will provide a dated receipt in a format suitable for benefit claims upon request.

HST

Fees charged by Wellness Within are HST-exempt under Schedule V of the Excise Tax Act (Canada). No HST will be added to participant fees.

PARTICIPANT CONDUCT

Participation in a small clinical group requires a baseline of conduct that protects the experience for everyone. The following are expected of all participants:

— Arrive on time and remain for the full two hours

— Engage respectfully with other participants and the facilitator

— Honour group confidentiality obligations as set out in Section 5

— Refrain from using sessions to vent about co-workers or the employer

— Attend in civilian dress.

Celia reserves the right to ask a participant to withdraw from the program if conduct significantly disrupts the group experience or violates this agreement.

RISK ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Psychotherapy and self-reflective group work can bring up material that is emotionally significant. This is inherent in the work and is not a basis for complaint or liability. By registering, you acknowledge that:

— You are choosing to participate voluntarily and with full awareness of the nature of the program

— Some discomfort is a normal part of the process

— The program is designed with your safety in mind but cannot guarantee that all content will be comfortable

— You are responsible for managing your own wellbeing outside of sessions, and for reaching out to Celia or other supports if you need assistance between sessions.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wellness Within and Celia Mirco are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your participation in this program, provided that Celia has acted within the standard of care applicable to her regulatory obligations.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Wellness Within has no responsibility for any injury, loss, or incident occurring in Vetta Nordic Spa’s common areas or amenities.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All program materials — including session handouts, workbooks, tools, and any written content distributed as part of the program — are the intellectual property of Celia Mirco / Wellness Within. They are provided for your personal use in connection with this program only.

Materials may not be reproduced, shared with others, adapted, or used outside of the program without prior written consent from Celia Mirco.
